Edinburgh, Scotland Part 3

On our last day in Edinburgh we enjoyed the Scotch Whiskey experience sans kids gratefully and had a great lunch at Deacon Brodie's Tavern. Deacon Brodie was a man we heard quite a bit about (he was quite the player and adulterer) during our city tours. Jim and I learned a lot about whiskey, how it's made and aged, etc. and got to choose one to taste based on what we learned about the 4 regions of Scotland that make whiskey and the different flavors that come from those regions. My favorite was the smokey flavored whiskey made in the Islay region. It burned in my chest for the better part of the day. The other 3 types all tasted the same to me.

The kids went to a museum of illusions and got some great shots with the mirrors. Rhiannon was knighted on the street by one of the many street performers we saw that last day. We also saw William Wallace if you can believe it raising money for "charity". My favorite is the one of the "Pierced Face Lady" and the shot is slightly blurry because I didn't want to pay her for the pleasure of taking her picture. If you can get paid just for being a freak then I should have been rich long ago! Us girls wrapped up our shopping and took a few pictures around the Royal Mile. The rest of the pictures are random city shots with a few amusing signs we saw along the way.

And finally, Brad buckling up on the plane bound for home...
